Paulo Giannis At The Uplands Hotel Ristorante and Accommodation is situated just outside the beautiful medieval village of Cartmel, near Grange-over-Sands, at the southern edge of the English Lake District; and it is open all year-round.The house stands in two acres of idyllic gardens, commanding breathtaking views of the Leven Estuary on Morecambe Bay. Cartmel, and the surrounding country of the Furness Peninsula, offer respite from the hustle and bustle of the central Lake District, but are still within easy reach of Lake Windermere.All rooms are en-suite with television and coffee and tea making facilities and our friendly staff is committed to making your stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. As we are a restaurant with rooms, we have a fully licensed 'rustic' Italian themed dining experience with an extensive pizzapasta menu as well as daily specials, light meals, a children's menu, a-la-carte dining and fine wines. From the M6 to Grange-over-Sands:Exit at junction 36, following the signposts for A590 Grange over Sands.Follow the dual carriageway taking the next exit slip, signposted A590 Grange over Sands.Continue along the A590 until you reach a large roundabout, bear left onto B5277.Follow this road all the way through Lindale - you will eventually reach Grange Railway Station on the left.Ahead is a mini-roundabout, bear left toward the centre of Grange.Follow the road up all the way to the next roundabout.You are now in the centre of Grange.From Grange to The Uplands Hotel:At the central roundabout, take the second exit (Grange Fell Road) and go over the brow to the crossroads.Go straight ahead (continuing on Grange Fell Road), follow the road up the hill and all the way to its end at a T-junction.Make a right turn (on to Haggs Lane) towards Cartmel.After a short distance you will pass two driveways on the right and come to a right hand bend. The entrance to the hotel is immediately after this bend on the right.
